WebI ACTY'S ORARIO 16.0 Release Notes

On October 31, 2024, WebI ACTY'S ORARIO 16.0 (hereafter referred to as “ACTY'S 16.0”) was released.
This page introduces the new functions and improvements that will be added in the upgrade.

Hiding function for rest periods

Hide rest periods on BarChart Area

It is now possible to hide the column for rest periods on the Calendar.
It also supports printing while the Rest columns are hidden.
By showing only the operating period, you can effectively utilize the screen and paper space.

You can freely select the Calendar for which you want to hide rest periods from registered Calendars on Calendar edit screen.

You can also set whether to show or hide vertical lines for hidden periods, as well as their color.

In [Advanced Calendar Settings], you can set conditions for which rest periods to hide when multiple Calendars are selected.

When used in conjunction with the sequential day display function, it can also be helpful for creating a duration schedule.

Non-working Calendar Automatic Creation Tool (Add-on tool)

We have developed a tool that creates a Calendar where the days on a Bar Chart without Bars are automatically set as rest periods.
This is useful when you want to create a duration schedule by using the hiding function for rest periods from a Bar Chart that already contains schedule information.​

Improved Tool Menu Editor

Changed the specifications of “Add predefined variables” button

  • The button name has been changed.
    (Before change) Add constant → (After change) Add predefined variables

  • We reviewed the system variable options that appear in the list and replaced them with frequently used ones.
    This improved clarity and reduced the risk of input errors.
    As before, items that are not in the list can be manually configured.

Other improvements

Bugs fixed in this release

  • Improved the message that appears when your license key expires to make it easier to understand.

  • Fixed a bug where the Group Name in vertical writing was cut off when the overall text size was set to 75% in Print Wizard.

  • Improved to show an error message when trying to open a Print Pattern File without a license.

  • Fixed a bug where the bottom row of the Histogram Area was misaligned with the EMF Merge Frame when printing with BarChart Factory Orario.

  • Fixed a bug where the Resource Name and Histogram in the bottom row of the Histogram Area were printed outside the frame when printing with BarChart Factory Orario.

  • Fixed a bug that caused unexpected behavior when multiple BarChart Factory Orario were started at the same time.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause unnecessary lines to be drawn at the bottom when printing, depending on the combination with the top and bottom margin settings in Preference.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause half-width alphanumeric characters to shift if the character size for printing was scaled when the Group Name was written vertically.

  • Fixed a bug where scaling of the character size for printing was not reflected when the Bar text was abbreviated.

  • Fixed a bug where the background of text was not transparent even when “Transparent” was checked in [Preferences] > [Text] tab > [Bar Layout Item] when multiple items were set in one Tier in Bar Layout.

  • Fixed a bug where the focus position was different when opening the Search Bars screen in ACTY’S 15.0 compared to previous versions.

  • Fixed a bug that sometimes resetting the Character Format did not work.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the Unit of Movement for Bars to be reset when switching to Histogram Group / Stack display.

  • Fixed a bug that the date separator line did not disappear even if the availability amount was the same on the left and right side in Resource Availability display.

  • Fixed a bug where the Histogram was not displayed in Filter by Group mode when a Group was selected from the context menu.

  • Fixed a bug where selecting multiple Bars and trying to change the Left and Right Symbols from set to unset in Property screen would not be reflected.

  • Fixed a bug where some Resources might not be printed if “Exclude Group of Group Bar only” was turned ON when printing By Resource View.

  • Fixed a bug when trying to start WBS Editor from Tool Menu of ACTY'S, sometimes the error message “Application terminated abnormally.“ would be displayed and could not be started.

  • We have made minor changes to the wording in ACTY'S main application, BarChart Factory Orario, and WBS Editor.

[Notes on data linkage with our other products]

  • When disassembling a multi-project schedule in PREGARE Orario, the settings related to the Hide Rest function in Calendar Property will not be reflected.

  • The settings related to the Hide Rest function in Calendar Property apply to the entire Bar Chart, so they are not reflected in the exclusive editing of Planow Orario and Plan Cockpit. Please make any changes to “All (kzd)” in Project basic information of Planow Orario.

  • Regarding TransportOrario-TSV, items related to the Hide Rest function are not subject to import/export.

[Advance notice regarding end of support for Windows 10]

Windows 10 (32bit version) is covered by warranty in ACTY'S 16.0, but will no longer be covered by warranty in ACTY'S 17.0 (tentative) and later versions.
Windows 10 (64bit version) is covered by warranty in ACTY'S 16.0. As for ACTY'S 17.0 (tentative) and later, it is currently undetermined.

Known Issues and Workarounds

In ACTY’S 16.0, it has been identified that the display of Overall Image becomes distorted under certain conditions when Hide Rest function is turned ON.


This issue occurs when [Display Task Map and Resource Map in the Overall Image Window] is checked in [Edit] > [Preference] > [Advanced Option].
If you click on the Resource Map displayed in the lower half of the Overall Image, the display of Resource Names on the Overall Image will be distorted, and vertical lines indicating the rest periods will be displayed up to the Resource Name display area.


<Workaround> This can be resolved by moving the mouse cursor.
